It had become a habit. She tied her shoelaces, making sure she they were taut. She tightened her ponytail, and quickly huddled with her teammates to do a cheer before entering the court.


This has been the life of sophomore Kelli Kosakura for as long as she could remember it. She recalls one of her first interactions with the sport, when her parents signed her up for a basketball class as she was starting kindergarten.
